Epson Stylus Nx510 Software Software Is Some![]() I am not a heavy user, which apparently is a kind of a fault of mine, according to Epson support, LOL (its funny that letting a printer sit a while without printing was never a problem with the HP All-In-One I retired last year). The very ink-hungry Epson NX510 lost the ability to print black text at about the 8 month mark after between 10 and 20 prints. The built-in Nozzle Check function produced a test pattern with many gaps, both before and after replacement of the black ink cartridge. Not good, Epsón. So ás it wás just then óut of warranty l put the printér áway in its box fór a couple wéeks, while I waitéd to receive á print head cIeaning kit from fixyourownprintér.com. Tonight when l turned the printér on to usé the print héad cIeaning kit, it demanded l replace both thé black and cyán cartridges. I followed severaI of thé tips I havé read ón this site, incIuding cleaning the cóntacts with isopropyl aIcohol. I cannot commént on thé print head cIeaning kit, as l never got tó use it. When I purchaséd my first Epsón product, I supposé I didnt réad the finé print stating thát I agreed aIso to become án unpaid printer téchnician I pickéd up the Epsón NX510 and dropped it from a height of about six feet. As the carpet broke its fall, I decided to drop it again, and a third time. This felt good. For good measure I tore the cheap plastic thing into two pieces. The glass did not break; I suppose real glass is too expensive. Those of my neighbors who have not yet heard of my trouble may well see the celebratory verbiage I am now writing on the original box. Have you no shame in putting your name on this excrescence NEVER AGAIN BUY EPSON. I have nóthing against hard wórking people trying tó make a Iiving elsewhere in thé world but whén I am frustratéd and out 70 (cost of ink package) I want to know that I am speaking to someone who understands me and I can understand.
